Statement by the Press Secretary
Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek of Slovenia to Visit Washington

President Bush will welcome Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek of Slovenia to the White House on May 17. Slovenia has supported efforts to combat terrorism and has contributed significantly to bringing peace and stability to southeast Europe. The meeting will be an opportunity to discuss Slovenia's ongoing free market, democratic transformation, and aspirations to join Euro-Atlantic institutions.
