The White House
Office of Mrs. Bush
April 9, 2002
Statement by Mrs. Laura Bush
Regarding Today's Services for the Queen Mother
April 9, 2002
"Today's ceremony memorialized the life of a truly remarkable woman. The Queen Mother was noble in every sense of the word - - serving her family, her nation and the free world from the dark days of World War II through the dawn of a new millennium. President Bush and I extend the condolences of the American people to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, II, her family, and the people of the United Kingdom, and we join them in remembering the Queen Mother's life and legacy."
