Statement by the Press Secretary
Visit by President Tarja Halonen of Finland
President Bush will meet President Tarja Halonen of Finland at the White House on April 16. A good friend and partner of the United States, Finland has provided personnel and resources in the Balkans and to fight terrorism, including in Afghanistan. The Oval Office meeting will provide an opportunity for both leaders to discuss their common objectives with respect to global and regional issues.
