Nomination
President Bush to Nominate Lukken to be a Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual to serve in his administration.

The President intends to nominate Walter Lukken to be a Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission for a five year term expiring April 13, 2005. He has been a professional staff member for the Senate Agriculture Committee since 1997, and was a Legislative Assistant to Senator Richard Lugar from 1993 to 1998.  Lukken is a graduate of Indiana University and Lewis and Clark Law School.
