Statement by the Press Secretary

Yesterday, the President signed into law S. 560, which allows Rita Mirembe Revell permanent residency in the United States. Ms. Revell is a 16 year-old student from Uganda. Dennis Revell and Ms. Maureen Reagan, daughter of former President Ronald Reagan, are guardians of Rita Revell. This Private bill will allow Rita Mirembe Revell to be adopted by Dennis Revell and Ms. Maureen Reagan, and be classified as "immediate relative child".
