The Fishing School a Faith-Based Community Center

This is a faith-based program that relies primarily on private donations. The Fishing School was founded in 1990 by Tom Lewis, a retired D.C. police officer.  They provide a safe haven, intervention and education for vulnerable children and youth.

The Fishing School, as a member of the Ward Six Action Team, was presented The Team Prevention Award for 1991.
