The White House hosted Radio Day on Oct. 30, 2002 as an opportunity for more than 50 local and national radio hosts to interview White House officials and Cabinet members.

Located in a tent on the north side of the White House, local and nationally-syndicated radio hosts conducted interviews of Bush Administration officials and members of the Cabinet.

According to Taylor Gross, White House Spokesman and Director of Radio Media, "Radio Day was an opportunity to reach out to members of the radio community, who do not normally cover White House events. Many Americans get their news from talk radio and this was an excellent way for members of the President's team to take his message directly to Americans. From 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., members of the Administration participated in over 250 radio interviews."
