Official Visit of the Prime Minister of Japan
President George W. Bush and Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi of Japan review the troops during an arrival ceremony on the South Lawn Thursday, June 29, 2006. "Japan is now the third largest donor nation for reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan," said President Bush in his address. "In Iraq, Japanese self-defense forces have helped improve the lives of citizens in a key Iraqi province that will soon return to Iraqi control."
