Mrs. Laura Bush meets with Ibrahim A. Gambari, Under-Secretary-General and Special Advisor to the Secretary-General on Burma at the White House, Tuesday, June 19, 2007, the 62nd birthday of the pro-democracy activist and leader of the National League for Democracy in Burma, Aung San Suu Kyi who is held under house arrest by the Burmese military junta. Mrs. Bush and Mr. Gambari discussed the important work of the United Nations to achieve the release of all political prisoners and to bring reconciliation to the Burmese people.
