Director of the Violence Against Women Office

Most recently, Diane Stuart was the Acting Director of the Office on Violence Against Women, U.S. Department of Justice. She was the first State Coordinator for the Utah Governor’s Domestic Violence Cabinet Council, serving from 1996 to 2001. Prior to that appointment, she was the Domestic Violence Victim Advocacy Specialist in the Utah Division of Child and Family Services. From 1989 to 1994, she was the Executive Director of the Battered Women’s Shelter and Rape Crisis Center in Logan, Utah. Diane is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and received a Master’s Degree in family and human development from Utah State University.
