Before her appointment, Mary Peters was the director of the Arizona Department of Transportation. Mary joined ADOT in 1985 and served as contract administrator, deputy director for administration and deputy director. She also served on the board of directors for ITS America, chaired the Standing Committee on Planning and the Asset Management Task Force for the American Association of State Highway Officials and served as a member of its 2001 Reauthorization Steering Committee. Mary holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix. |
