From 1994 until 2000, James Gilleran was Chairman and CEO of the Bank of San Francisco. He also served as Chairman of the Conference of State Banking Supervisors from 1993 to 1994 and was a member of CSBS's Bankers Advisory Council until 2000. In addition, he served as the California State Banking Superintendent from 1989 to 1994. Previously, he was managing partner of the Northern California practice of the public accounting firm KPMG Peat Marwick. He was with KPMG from 1958 through 1987. James graduated from Pace University and received his law degree from Northwestern California University. |
