Jim Ziglar -- Department of Justice
Commissioner of Immigration and Naturalization (INS)

Prior to his current appointment, Jim Ziglar served as the 35th Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate. Previously, he served as Managing Director of Paine Webber Incorporated in the firm's Municipal Securities Group. Jim was a member of the Paine Webber Operating Committee, the Municipal Securities Group Executive Committee and served as the Chairman of the Municipal Securities Group Operating Committee. In addition, Jim served as Assistant Secretary of Interior for Water and Science from 1987 to 1988, where he directed the operations of the Bureau of Reclamation, the U.S. Geological Survey and the Bureau of Mines. He received both his undergraduate degree and J.D. from George Washington University.
