Most recently, Dan Schecter served as Acting Deputy Director for Demand Reduction of ONDCP. In the early 1990s, he served at the U.S. Department of Education as Deputy Director of the Office of AMERICA 2000. He was also the first Director of the Fund for the Improvement and Reform of Schools and Teaching from 1988 to 1989. From 1985 to 1988, Dan was Staff Director to the Deputy Undersecretary for Planning, Budget and Evaluation. From 1972 to 1985, he was on the staff of the National Endowment for the Humanities' Office of Planning, Budget and Evaluation. Dan is a graduate of Beloit College. He holds a Master's Degree in Anthropology and American Studies from the George Washington University.
