Bob Martin
Director of the Institute of Museum and Library Services

Prior to his current appointment, Bob Martin was Professor and Interim Director of the School of Library and Information Studies at Texas Woman's University. He joined the School's Faculty in 1999. From 1995 until 1999, he served as Director and Librarian of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. From 1985 until 1995, Bob was Associate Dean of Libraries for Special Collections at Louisiana State University. Before that, he worked in the archives and special collections at the University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Texas at Austin. He also taught at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Bob has a Doctor of Philosophy in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Library Science from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Rice University.
