Most recently, Jake Lozada was a Managing Consultant for Electronic Data Systems. After retiring from the U.S. Army with the rank of Colonel, he was a Principal at Booz, Allen and Hamilton from 1993 to 1995. During his military service, he occupied numerous key positions in leadership and health-care management including, Hospital Executive Officer, Inspector General, Director of the Department of Defense Combat Casualty Care Course, and Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations from 1980 to 1993. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Puerto Rico, a Masters degree from Baylor University and a Ph.D. from Walden University. He is an adjunct Assistant Professor at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC and Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
