Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Market Access & Compliance

William Lash was a Professor at George Mason University School of Law. He also served as a Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Center for the Study of American Business at Washington University. William was previously the Associate Dean and Director of Law and Economics Center at George Mason University and was an Associate Professor of Law at St. Louis University from 1990 to 1994. He has also served as an Associate at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson and as Counsel to Susan Leibeler, Chairman of the U.S. International Trade Commission in 1988. He is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School.
