Clay Johnson -- White House
Assistant to the President for Presidential Personnel
and Deputy to the Chief of Staff

Prior to his current appointment, Clay Johnson was the Executive Director of the Bush-Cheney Presidential Transition. From 1995 until 2000, Clay worked in the office of Governor George W. Bush. He was Executive Assistant to the Governor from 1999 to 2000 and Appointments Director from 1994 to 1999. From 1992 to 1994, Clay was Deputy Director/Chief Operating Officer of the Dallas Museum of Art. Previously, he served in a variety of positions at Horchow Mail Order, serving as President and CEO from 1983 until 1991. Clay also worked in management positions at Citicorp, Wilson Sporting Goods and Frito Lay. Clay is a graduate of Yale University and received an M.S. from MIT Sloan School of Management.
