From 1995 until her appointment, Melody Fennel served as a Professional Staff Member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, where she was the chief housing advisor to Senator Phil Gramm. From 1990 to 1995, she was the Legislative Director for the National Association of Home Builders. She was a Legislative Representative of the National Council of State Housing Agencies from 1988 to 1990. Melody is a graduate of Vassar College.
