Under Secretary of State for Arms Control & International Security

Before joining the current administration, John Bolton was Senior Vice President for Public Policy Research at the American Enterprise Institute. During the Reagan and Bush administrations, he served in several positions within the Department of State, the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Agency for International Development. Under President George H.W. Bush he served as Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs. John received both his undergraduate and law degrees from Yale University.
