Most recently, Margaret Chu was Director of the Nuclear Waste Management Program Center at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She worked at Sandia National Laboratories from 1980 to 2001 and served in several capacities, including Manager of the Environmental Risk Assessment and Waste Management Department and Deputy Manager of the Waste Isolation Pilot Project and Technical Integration Department. Margaret earned an undergraduate degree from Purdue University and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at the University of Minnesota.
