Regina B. Schofield was confirmed Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) on June 8, 2005. Assistant Attorney General Schofield is responsible for providing overall management and oversight of OJP, whose mission is to enlarge the nation’s capacity to prevent and control crime, improve the criminal and juvenile justice systems, increase knowledge about crime and related issues, and assist crime victims. She also guides the development of OJP policy and priorities and coordinates the activities of its bureaus and offices.
