Assistant Administrator for Water Programs

Benjamin H. Grumbles is EPA's Assistant Administrator for the Office of Water. He oversees the Agency's water quality activities, which represent a coordinated effort to restore the nation's waters. Prior to being appointed Assistant Administrator, Mr. Grumbles served as Deputy Assistant Administrator of the Office of Water and Acting Associate Administrator for the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations. Prior to joining EPA, he was deputy chief of staff and environmental counsel for the House Science Committee. Mr. Grumbles holds a B.A. from Wake Forest University, J.D. from Emory University and LL.M. in environmental law from George Washington University Law School where he is currently an adjunct professor of law.
