James Lambright -- Export-Import Bank of the United States
Chief of Staff

Since joining Ex-Im Bank in 2001, Lambright has served as senior advisor to Ex-Im Bank's board of directors and created and ran the Credit and Risk Management group, overseeing risk assessment activities for the Bank's transaction flow of nearly $1 billion per month. Lambright came to Ex-Im Bank from Credit Suisse First Boston Corp. in Los Angeles, Calif., where he was vice president, private equity. There, he specialized in the underwriting and negotiation of real estate and venture capital transactions. A native of St. Louis, Mo., Lambright graduated with honors from Harvard Law School and received a bachelor of arts in linguistics from Stanford University. Ex-Im Bank is an independent U.S. government agency that assists in financing the export of U.S. goods and services to markets around the world, through export credit insurance, loan guarantees, and direct loans. In fiscal year 2002, Ex-Im Bank authorized financing to support nearly $13 billion in U.S. exports worldwide.
