Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for Border and Transportation Security

Prior to his current appointment, Charles Verdery served as Senior Legislative Counsel at Vivendi Universal Entertainment. From 1998 to 2002 he was General Counsel for United States Senate Assistant Republican Leader Don Nickles. He also served as Counsel and Head of the the Crime and Drug Policy Unit for the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary in 1998 and as Counsel for the United States Senate Committee on Rules and Administration from 1996 until 1998. Charles is a graduate of Williams College and the University of Virginia Law School.
