Appointee Directory View:   Thelma Askey -- Trade and Development Agency Director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency From 1998 to 2001, Thelma Askey served as a Commissioner on the International Trade Commission. Previously, she served as the Staff Director of the Trade Subcommittee, at the Committee on Ways and Means in the U.S. House of Representatives. Thelma also has more than twenty years experience in the international trade field and has been a key player in the development of U.S. trade policy beginning with implementation of the Tokyo Round of Multilateral Trade Negotiation in the early eighties. 202-514-2001
