Director of the United States Fish & Wildlife Service

Steve Williams was previously Secretary of the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, after being appointed by Governor Bill Graves in 1995. From 1992 to 1995, he served as Deputy Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Steve served with the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife from 1985 to 1992, first as a Wildlife Biologist and then as Assistant Director for Wildlife. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, received a Master's degree from the University of North Dakota and a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University in Forest Resources.
