Appointee Directory View:   Tom White -- Department of Defense Secretary of the Army Most recently, Tom White was the Vice-Chairman of Enron Energy Services. Previously, he served as Chairman and CEO of Enron Operations Corporation and as Chairman and CEO of Enron Power Corporation. After 23 years, he retired from the U.S. Army as a Brigadier General. Tom served as Executive Assistant to General Colin Powell, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, from 1989 to 1990. He also served as Director of the Armor/Anti-Armor Special Task Force in the Office of the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the War College. 703-695-3211
