Inspector General of the Environmental Protection Agency

Prior to being appointed as Inspector General in November 1998, Nikki Tinsley served for almost two years as EPA's Acting Inspector General. Nikki joined EPA's Office of Inspector General in 1990, when she was selected as Divisional Inspector General for the Office of Inspector General's Central Audit Division. Before coming to EPA, Nikki worked for 15 years in various audit capacities with the Department of Interior's Minerals Management Service and with the U.S. General Accounting Office. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and received a Master's Degree from the University of Northern Colorado.
