Lloyd Pierson -- Peace Corps
Chief of Staff of the Peace Corps

Most recently, Lloyd Pierson was the Director of the Africa Division at the International Republican Institute, a Washington, D.C. based non-profit organization that works to advance democracy and good governance abroad. From 1991 to 1993, he served as Associate Director of the Peace Corps. From 1984 to 1991, he served as Peace Corps Country Director in Ghana and Botswana and served an interim assignment as Country Director in Swaziland. Lloyd also served as Staff Associate on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Foreign Operations from 1981 to 1984. He has completed post-graduate work in Law at South Texas College of Law and in Public Administration at Lamar University. He is a graduate of the University of Houston.
