Appointee Directory View:   Ted McPherson -- Department of Education Under Secretary Ted McPherson was appointed Under Secretary of Education in April 2004. Mr. McPherson also served as Chief Financial Officer for the Department of Agriculture from October 2001 – April 2004. From 1989 until October 2001, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of InterSolve Group in Dallas, Texas. From 1973 to 1988, Ted served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of First Republic Bank Corporation, and from 1971 to 1973 he served as a Management Consultant with Booz, Allen and Hamilton.
