Appointee Directory View:   Gordon Heddell -- Department of Labor Inspector General of the Department of Labor Prior to his current appointment, Gordon Heddell was Assistant Director of the Office of Inspection, U.S. Secret Service. He served in a variety of positions during 29 years in the Secret Service, including Special Agent-in-Charge of the Vice Presidential Protective Division. Gordon also served as helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri and holds a Master of Arts degree in Legal Studies from the University of Illinois. 202-693-5100
