Assistant to the President and Secretary to the Cabinet

Previously, Albert Hawkins served as a Deputy Campaign Manager for the Bush-Cheney 2000 Presidential campaign. From 1994 to 2000, he was Texas State Budget Director for Governor George W. Bush. In this capacity, he served as the chief advisor to the Governor on state fiscal issues, oversaw the development of the Governor's state budget and represented the Governor before the Legislature on budgetary matters. Albert is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. He received a Master's of public affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas.
