Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Political Affairs

At the time of his appointment, Felts was Vice President Dick Cheney's assistant for political affairs and had previously served as associate director of the White House Office of Political Affairs. Felts "has worked for several other GOP politicians, including former Sen. Lauch Faircloth of North Carolina and former Vice President Dan Quayle. He served as communications director for Rep.
