Lily Fu Claffee, of Illinois, is the General Counsel of the Department of Commerce. Ms. Claffee served as Deputy General Counsel of the Department of the Treasury prior to her current appointment. Before that she served as Deputy Associate Attorney General at the Department of Justice. Earlier in her career, she served as a Partner at Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw. Ms. Claffee received her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin and her JD from the University of Minnesota |
