Appointee Directory View:   Whitney Debevoise -- Department of the Treasury United States Executive to the World Bank Group Whitney Debevoise currently serves as the United States Executive Director to the World Bank Group where he sits on the Boards of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Development Association, the International Finance Corporation and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency. Mr. Debevoise joined the World Bank from Arnold & Porter, LLP, where he practiced international law for almost twenty-eight years. He has lived in Argentina, Brazil, England, France and Switzerland and worked in more than 50 countries during a career dealing with developing nations and their monetary, financial and trade issues. He has also successfully led efforts to recover the fruits of corruption for several countries. Mr. Debevoise earned his B.A. in History and Latin American Studies at Yale and graduated from the Harvard Law School. He subsequently clerked for a federal court of appeals judge. Mr. Debevoise is married and has two daughters.
