Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Press Secretary

The President has named Scott Stanzel to be Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Press Secretary. Mr. Stanzel recently served as Senior Product Manager of the Security Technology Unit at Microsoft Corporation. Prior to this, he served as Press Secretary of the Bush-Cheney 2004 re-election campaign. Earlier in his career, he served as a Spokesman in the Office of Media Affairs at the White House and as Assistant Press Secretary for U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley. Mr. Stanzel received his bachelor's degree from Iowa State University.
