Charles Ingebretson -- Environmental Protection Agency
Chief Of Staff

Charles Ingebretson is EPA’s Chief of Staff. He is charged with assisting the Administrator in managing the priorities of the Agency. Mr. Ingebretson joined EPA in April 2004 as the Associate Administrator for Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations in the Office of the Administrator. Prior to his employment at EPA, Mr. Ingebretson served as Government Relations Counsel at Honeywell International, Inc., where he focused primarily on environmental issues, and spent two years with the law firm of Bracewell & Patterson, L.L.P., where he provided advice on many legislative and regulatory issues including the Clean Air Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act. He served the House Committee on Energy and Commerce as Minority Counsel from 1990 to 1995, and then as General Counsel from 1995 to 1998. Mr. Ingebretson holds a bachelor degree in political science from Duke University and a J.D. from the Notre Dame School of Law.
