Director of National Cancer Institute

John Edward Niederhuber, of Wisconsin, is the Director of the National Cancer Institute at the Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. Niederhuber served at the National Cancer Institute as Acting Director and the Deputy Director for Translational and Clinical Services. He previously served as Professor in the Department of Surgery and Department of Oncology at the University of Wisconsin. Earlier in his career, he served as the Director of the University of Wisconsin's Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Niederhuber received his bachelor's degree from Bethany College and his MD from Ohio State University.
