Under Secretary of the Treasury (Domestic Finance)

Randal Quarles serves Under Secretary of the Treasury (Domestic Finance). He previously served as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury (International Affairs). Prior to this he served as the United States Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund. During President George H. W. Bush's Administration, Mr. Quarles served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Institutions Policy. In the private sector, he was Co-Head of Davis Polk & Wardwell's Financial Institutions Group, advising domestic and international banks and bank holding companies. Mr. Quarles received a bachelor's degree from Columbia College and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
