OMB Director to Conduct Media Briefing on FY 2003 Budget

What: The Office of Management and Budget will conduct a briefing to discuss the President’s Budget Request for FY 2003.
Who: Office of Management and Budget Director Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr.
When: Monday, February 4, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. EST
Where: Eisenhower Executive Office Building, Washington, DC, Room 450
Document Availability:

 

Hard Copies: Physical copies of the document will be available for the media at 9:00 a.m. EST at the U.S. Government Printing Office located at 710 North Capitol Street, NW.

 

On-line: The document will be available on-line at (www.omb.gov/budget) and (www.gpo.gov/usbudget), after 12:30 p.m. EST.

The briefing is for credentialed media only. To Attend the Briefing:

  • Print Media with White House Hard Passes: You must be at the White House press briefing room no later than 12:30 p.m., at which time you will be escorted to the briefing in the EEOB. You do not need to be cleared in.
  •  

  • Electronic Media with White House Hard Passes: You must be at the White House press briefing room no later than 12:00 p.m., at which time you will be escorted to the briefing in the EEOB. You do not need to be cleared in.
  •  

  • Print Media without White House Hard Passes: You must e-mail or fax your name, affiliation, Social Security number, and date of birth for clearance. Please send all information to JJWood@OMB.EOP.GOV, or fax your information to (202) 395-7298. Clearance information will not be accepted after Friday, February 1, 2002, at 5:00 p.m. You must arrive and be cleared through the White House Northwest gate by 12:15 p.m., at which time you will be escorted to the briefing in the EEOB.

     

  • Electronic Media without White House Hard Passes: You must e-mail or fax your name, affiliation, Social Security number, and date of birth for clearance. Please send all information to JJWood@OMB.EOP.GOV, or fax your information to (202) 395-7298. Clearance information will not be accepted after Friday, February 1, 2002, at 5:00 p.m. You must arrive and be cleared through the White House Northwest gate by 12:00 p.m., at which time you will be escorted to the briefing in the EEOB.

Where Is the Northwest Gate?:

The Northwest Gate is located on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW in the northwest corner of the White House complex. As you face the White House from Pennsylvania Avenue, this is the gate directly in front of the West Wing. (Not the gate further to the right directly in front of West Executive Drive.)

Other: There is no embargo on the document. Please remember clearance information must be received by Friday, February 1, 2002, at 5:00 p.m.
