Briefing on Administration's Freedom to Manage Initiative

Who: OMB Deputy Director Sean O'Keefe, OPM Director Kay James, and GSA Director Steve Perry
What: Press briefing on Freedom to Manage Act and Managerial Flexibility Act. The Freedom to Manage Act will permit management reform measures to receive expedited congressional consideration. The Managerial Flexibility Act of 2001 will reform various personnel, budgeting, and property management laws.
When: Monday, October 15, 2001, immediately following President Bush's address to Senior Executive Service employees (approximately at 2:45 p.m.)
