WASHINGTON, DC - Office of Management and Budget Director Mitchell Daniels Jr. today announced Trent Duffy has been named Associate Director for Communications at OMB. Duffy has been in the position since January 3rd, and succeeded Christopher W. Ullman, who left the position last year.
Duffy served as Press Secretary for the Republican National Committee from April to December of 2001. He also worked for the RNC's Victory 2000 press operation during the 2000 Presidential campaign.
From 1999 to 2000, Duffy served as the Communications Director for the House Committee on Ways and Means, succeeding Ari Fleischer. Before that, he was Deputy Communications Director for the Committee under Fleischer for one year.
In 1997, Duffy was a press operative on Governor Christie Todd Whitman's re-election campaign.
He also served as Communications Director for Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ) for two years, and as a legislative aide to Rep. Harold Rogers (R-KY).
