| The
Administration supports House passage of H.R. 624, which would authorize
appropriations to pay for transportation and subsistence expenses
incurred by organ donors and for public education and outreach activities
to promote the importance of organ donation. The Administration supports
a national effort to increase the number of organ donors and the Department
of Health and Human Services recently announced plans to launch a
national campaign to raise public awareness about organ donations.
