        The Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985 (Section 251 (a) (7)), as amended by the Budget Enforcement Act of 1997, requires that OMB submit a report to Congress on appropriations legislation within seven days of enactment. Enclosed is the report for H.R. 3579, the Supplemental Appropriations and Rescissions Act, FY 1998 (P.L. 105-174). This Act was signed by the President on May 1, 1998.
