Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate six individuals to serve in his Administration.

The President intends to nominate the following individuals to be Members of the Board of Directors of the Inter-American Foundation:

Rodney G. Bent, of Virginia, (Government Representative), for the remainder of a six-year term expiring 09/20/14;

Gary C. Bryner, of Utah, (Public Representative), for the remainder of a six-year term expiring 06/26/14;

Thomas Joseph Dodd, of the District of Columbia, (Public Representative), for the remainder of a six-year term expiring 06/26/14;

Roger W. Wallace, of Texas, and upon appointment, re-designate Chairman, for the remainder of a six-year term expiring 10/06/14.

The President intends to nominate the following individuals to be Directors of the Board of Directors of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation:

Alesia Ranney-Marinelli, of New York, (Public Representative) and upon appointment designate Chairman for a three-year term beginning 01/01/09;

Mark S. Shelton, of Kansas, (Securities Industry Representative) for a three-year term beginning 01/01/09.
