Personnel Announcement
President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate eight individuals and appoint nineteen individuals to serve in his Administration.
The President intends to nominate the following individuals to be Members of the Board of Directors of the National Board for Education Sciences:
- Elizabeth Ann Bryan, of Texas, for a four-year term expiring 11/28/12
- Robert C. Granger, of New Jersey, for a four-year term expiring 11/28/12
- Caroline M. Hoxby, of Massachusetts, for a four-year term expiring 11/28/12
- Douglas J. Besharov, of Maryland, (Researcher), for a four-year term expiring 11/28/12
- Lynn S. Fuchs, of Tennessee, (Researcher), for a four-year term expiring 11/28/12
- Paul E. Peterson, of Massachusetts, (Researcher), for the remainder of a four-year term expiring 11/28/11
- John L. Winn, of Florida, for a four-year term expiring 11/28/12
- Patrick J. Wolf, of Arkansas, (Researcher) for the remainder of a four-year term expiring 03/15/12
The President intends to appoint Elsa A. Murano, of Texas, to be a Member of the Board for International Food and Agricultural Development, for the remainder of a four-year term expiring 07/28/12.
The President intends to appoint the following individuals to be Members of the Presidents Council on Service and Civic Participation, for terms of two years:
- Jean N. Case, of Virginia, and upon appointment redesignate Chair
- Raymond G. Chambers, of New Jersey
- Bo Derek, of California
- Evern Cooper Epps, of Georgia
- Janine L. Gauntt, of Texas
- Kasey K. Kahne, of Washington
- Mary Beth King, of Arizona
- Mary J. Myers, of Virginia
- Michelle Nunn, of Georgia
- Kelly Perdew, of California
- Corinne B. Roberts, of Louisiana
- Michael W. Smith, of Tennessee, and upon appointment redesignate Vice Chair
- Jordin Sparks, of Arizona
- Wendy M. Spencer, of Florida
- Roxanne Spillett, of Georgia
- Hope Taft, of Ohio
- Daniel C. Wuerffel, of Florida
- Mark G. Yudof, of Texas
