Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate two individuals to serve in his Administration.

The President intends to nominate James Culbertson, of North Carolina, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Mr. Culbertson previously served as the longtime President and Chief Executive Officer of Financial Computing, Inc. Mr. Culbertson received his bachelor's degree from the Citadel.

The President intends to nominate W. Stuart Symington, of Missouri, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Rwanda. Ambassador Symington, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, currently serves as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Djibouti. Prior to this, he served as Deputy Director of the Office of West African Affairs. Earlier in his career, he served as Acting Deputy Political Counselor at the United States Embassy in Baghdad. Ambassador Symington received his bachelor's degree from Brown University and his JD from Columbia University.
