Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to designate one individual and appoint seventeen individuals to serve in his Administration.

The President intends to designate Kameran L. Onley, of Washington, to be Acting Assistant Secretary of the Interior (Water and Science).

The President intends to appoint Robert Kelly, of Florida, to be a Member of the Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled (Representing One Conversant With the Problems Incident to the Employment of Other Severely Handicapped Individuals), for a five-year term beginning 04/25/08.

The President intends to appoint the following individuals to be Members of the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board:

John Willard Johnson, of Texas, for the remainder of a three-year term expiring 09/22/10

James L. Oblinger, of North Carolina, for the remainder of a three-year term expiring 09/22/08

Dina Habib Powell, of Texas, for the remainder of a three-year term expiring 09/22/10

Donald Edward Vermeil, of California, for the remainder of a three-year term expiring 09/22/10.

The Presidents intends to appoint Mary Beth Long, of Virginia, to be a Commissioner-Observer on the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (Department of Defense Representative).

The President intends to appoint the following individuals to be Members of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council:

Norman R. Bobins, of Illinois, for the remainder of a five-year term expiring 01/15/13

Joseph M. Brodecki, of Maryland, for the remainder of a five-year term expiring 01/15/13

Michael David Epstein, of Maryland, for the remainder of a five-year term expiring 01/15/13

Donald Etra, of California, for the remainder of a five-year term expiring 01/15/13

David M. Flaum, of New York, for the remainder of a five-year term expiring 01/15/13

Andrew Hochberg, of Illinois, for the remainder of a five-year term expiring 01/15/13

Ezra Katz, of Florida, for the remainder of a five-year term expiring 01/15/13

Howard Konar, of New York, for the remainder of a five-year term expiring 01/15/13

Douglas R. Korn, of Connecticut, for the remainder of a five-year term expiring 01/15/13

Hadassah F. Lieberman, of Connecticut, for the remainder of a five-year term expiring 01/15/13

Pierre-Richard Prosper, of California, for the remainder of a five-year term expiring 01/15/13.
