Personnel Announcement
President George W. Bush today announced that he has named three individuals to serve in his Administration.
The President has named Sonya E. Medina, Deputy Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy and Director of Projects for the First Lady. Ms. Medina recently served as Director of the AT&T Foundation. Prior to this, she served as Special Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy and Director of Projects for the First Lady. Earlier in her career, she served as a Senior Health Care Research Analyst at the Republican National Committee. Ms. Medina received her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and her master's degree from Columbia University.
The President has named Cynthia Stowe to be Special Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Senior Director for Prevention Policy. Ms. Stowe recently served as Director, Maritime Security Policy, on the Homeland Security Council staff. She is a commissioned officer in the United States Coast Guard. She received her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and obtained a U.S. Merchant Mariner's License from Texas Maritime Academy.
The President named Alison Teal Young to be Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of the USA Freedom Corps. Ms. Young recently served as White House Liaison and Director of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives at the Corporation for National and Community Service. She received her bachelor's degree from Grove City College and her master's degree from the George Washington University.
